De esta forma, las zapatillas se convierten en un caldo de cultivo para las bacterias, ya que atrapan el sudor y la humedad, creando un ambiente ideal para que se sigan multiplicando.

Esto, unido a que contienen más de medio millón de glándulas sudoríperas y que, además, solemos llevarlos cubiertos, acaba provocando un aumento de la sudoración.
Esto sudece porque parte de su función es regular la temperatura del cuerpo produciendo sudor a través de los poros de la piel.
Realmente, el mal olor en las zapatillas no lo produce el sudor en sí, ya que se trata de un líquido estéril. El problema es que, cuando este entra en contacto con la piel, la capa más superficial se reblandece... Las bacterias que están en la piel se descomponen generando el mal olor característico de las zapatillas.
Es por esto que es primordial tener una higiene apropiada y que esta se realice de manera regular tanto los pies como las zapatillas.
Además, entre otras causas del mal olor de pies, están los hongos por exceso de humedad. Cuando el pie no consigue expulsar el sudor, este se acumula llegando a provocar bacterias y hongos.
Se trata de una afección muy habitual que, en determinados casos, puede llegar a necesitar la ayuda médica. Por esto, entre muchos otros motivos es importante que mantengas y que tengas en cuenta la salud de tus pies.
Por lo general, la escasa higiene es uno de los factores más comunes del mal olor. El pie no es una de las partes que reciben más ventilación del cuerpo y, en consecuencia, se reconcentra de manera más intensa. En este sentido, es importante tener en cuenta que el uso de calcetines gruesos no es el mejor y que, tampoco es buena idea utilizar calcetines de materiales sintéticos. Procura apostar siempre por el algodón 100%.
Otro motivo, muy frecuente en adolescentes son las alteraciones hormonales. El cuerpo humano está sometido a cambios increíbles mientras está en fase de crecimiento. La alta concentración hormonal provoca una sobreestimulación de las glándulas sudoríperas generando mucho más sudor. Por esta razón, es tan frecuente el mal olor entre los adolescentes, especialmente los chicos.
Por otro lado, la ansiedad y el estrés también pueden provocar un fuerte aumento en la sudoración. Esto afecta a cualquier rango de edad.
